Grounds for Suspicion — Printable Cold Case Mystery Games
Printable cold case mystery games for adults who want the evidence, not just the ending.
Case File #01 — Storm Log No. 9
Grounds for Suspicion is a printable cold case mystery game series built around case documents, logs, witness statements, visual evidence, timelines and contradictions. Each downloadable case asks you to examine the record like an investigator: separate what is proved from what is merely possible, test competing theories and build the best-supported answer from the evidence in front of you.
The full case is designed for roughly 60–90 minutes of focused play, with a player briefing, evidence revealed in controlled waves, an investigation workbook, optional hints and a sealed solution opened last. If you are new to this style of play, start with how cold case mystery games work, then read why mystery fans love cold case games, or visit the Mystery Desk for more ways to solve, question and investigate.
Member benefit: Premium members will receive preferred pricing on full case releases once paid enrollment opens.
Retail handoff: When a full Grounds for Suspicion case is explicitly released for sale, purchase and delivery will be handled through the Hardcover Coffee store. Until then, this page remains the discovery and preview home; an unreleased case should not be treated as available for purchase.
How Grounds for Suspicion Plays
- Read the briefing.
- Open evidence in controlled waves.
- Track contradictions and timeline anchors.
- Use hints only if you want them.
- State your theory before opening the solution.
The point is not to guess the creator’s answer. The point is to build the best-supported answer from the supplied evidence.
